Vegan Potato Pie Recipe

Vegan Potato Pie Recipe

Hurrah! We already wanted to try this recipe

This is the recipe vegan version of the potato and meat pie, without animal suffering, without the need to disrespect Life. The process is the same, except that you are going to use soy and hydrate it. An advantage of this recipe is that it is very inexpensive and easy to make because there are few ingredients, very common, and that you usually have at home.

This recipe is for 2 people who eat moderately, so add more proportionally if you are very hungry!

Vegan Potato Pie Ingredients:

- Box puree or 6 medium potatoes

- 250 grams of soy to hydrate (it can be thick or thin, depending on how you like it)

- Tomato puree (1 box of 500 grams)

- Salt to taste)

- Pepper (to taste)

- Sugar (to taste, to cut the acidity of the tomato)

- Garlic (if you like garlic, you can add a little garlic powder to season the tomato)

Step by Step:

- If the puree is boxed, you follow the instructions to hydrate the puree. If you use potatoes, wash and peel the potatoes, boil them and when you pierce them with a fork and they are soft, strain them. Step on them with a mash mash.

- Season the puree with salt and pepper.

- In a pan or pot, add the crushed tomato, add salt, pepper and garlic (to taste). Add a little water to make it work a little more. Add the soy. Stir for a few minutes until the soybeans are tender.

- In a source we put a layer of mashed potatoes, on top a first layer of tomato sauce with the hydrated soybeans and we repeat the process until we finish with a layer of mashed potatoes.

- We take to a previously hot oven, at about 180ºC. And we leave about 10 minutes.

Remove from the oven. You can decorate with some green olives on top before serving.

Tip: ensure that the amount of vegan meat is even with the amount of puree.

Your vegan potato pie is ready to enjoy right now! Easy, cheap, delicious ... and respectful!
